5X10
TEARDROP
TRAILER BUILD
Well  my 5' X 10' Teardrop Trailer build has begun,
Actually this trailer will be 5'4" X 10' not including
                                the tongue.
I WILL BE POSTING PICTURES & EXPLANATIONS
AS THE TEARDROP TRAILER IS BEING BUILT
****WELL IT IS TIME TO START BUILDING****

Here is some tubing that
I picked up, & the angle
pieces will be used on
the flatbed trailer that we
are building.

Here I started to cut
the tubing for my frame.

Here I am using the
flatbed trailer frame
for a work bench to
lay out the teardrop
trailer frame.
Here  all of the cross braces &
side pieces and the front & rear
pieces have been cut and laid
out,Then they we're tac welded
so the frame would stay square
& after this side was all tacked
up & rechecked to make sure it
was still squared up (Looked
good) now it was welded up

Now the frame was
flipped over and
this side was welded
up.

Here the spring shackles
and springs are being
welded on.

Here the coupler has been
welded on to two pieces of
tubing

Here the tongue has
been lined up and
vise gripped on and
then it was welded.

Here a center tubing
was centered and
welded.
I was planning on putting a
2000lb axle with electric
brakes on this trailer, But I
decided to put a 1780lb axle
with out brakes, I already had
this axle, But I will have to
make it a little longer.
So I had to cut it in half.

Here I am prepping a piece of
tubing that I will be using to
extend the axle
Her is a picture of the tubing
that I cut and drilled.
On each end of the tubing I
drilled 8-5/8"holes that is 2 on
each side & a total of 16 holes
in all,We will weld each one of
these holes & will also weld
the ends of the Square Tubing
to the axle.
This is just another
view of the axle
and the extension
piece.
It was all adjusted and
squared up and then
vise gripped up and
ready to weld.
