Well picked up
some 2 X 6 lumber
for the trailer bed.
Cut all of the wood to
the correct size & then
laid them on the trailer I
used a bunch of 1/4"
spacers between each
2 X 6.
Now they are ready to be
screwed down.

Also mounted some
lights on the front
outside corners of
the trailer.

Mounted rear taillights.
And in this picture
you get a better view
showing how I use the
1/4" spacers.
In this shot it shows how
the taillights we're
mounted.
I also covered any wire
that was not within the
pipes that we're welded
on earlier in this build.
Tried to keep everything
clean looking.

I predrilled the wood
only.
And these are the 2-3/4
self drilling screws that
we're used
In this picture I capped the
exposed 2 X 6's,
And I placed a piece of angle iron
on top of the wood, I will drill
some holes through the angle
iron & bolt it to the frame to hold
down the wood, the reason I am
doing this is so if any of the wood
needs replacing in the future the
angle can easily removed.

Wood cap
^
^

Here a piece of angle
has been cut & painted
then vise gripped down,
This piece will cap &
hold down the wood & it
will be welded on.

Here it has been
welded on.
Now I just need
to clean up the
welds & repaint it.
The jack has been
bolted on and the
safety chains have
been welded on.
You can also see
that the bolt holes
have been drilled &
bolted, On the angle
holding the wood down.

End piece has been
painted.
Also mounted the lights
on the rear center of the
trailer.
Took trailer & had it
registered.
It is now ready for the
road.
All that needs to be
done now is the tailgate.

^^^Here we are making a hinge for the tailgate. ^^^
^Here the tailgate frame is clamped and welded up.^
^^Here the tailgate has been all welded up and^^
mounted on the rear of the trailer, Then I painted it.
^^I cut a piece of diamond plate and screwed it^^
                       to the tailgate.
^^Since we have a bunch of extra diamond plate^^
laying around I decided to also cut a piece for the
                      tongue of the the trailer.
^Also welded on a tire holder on and with this day^
and age it was made so that the tire could be
                            locked on.

We drilled some holes
threw the trailer frame
and the tailgate, and
then put some pins threw
the holes to secure the
tailgate.
We did not like the way
that we did the tailgate
locking mechanism above.
So to your right you can
see we welded a piece of
pipe to frame & to the
tailgate, Then we put a
bigger pin threw them.
Well it looks like we are finally done with this build,
Now we have to decide if we want to sell this trailer
or sale our other flatbed trailer, Both trailers are
nice trailers, But the trailer that was just built is a
lot heavier built trailer and just a little bigger, And
the other flatbed we have probably dose not even
have a hundred miles on it.
We will decide which trailer that we are going to
sale and when we do I will post it on my for sale
page.
If anyone is interested in either trailer feel free to
contact me at
( Ken@VegasTeardrop.com )
My stockpile of diamond plate.
This Trailer is just like new it dose not even have a
100 miles on it yet.
Trailer was built by Paiute Trailers
It has a 3500 lb. Axle on it, With 205/75-15 tires &
rims.
And it is 5' wide and 14'2" long,
With tailgate ramp.
(
We did add two extra pieces of tubing to give the
ramp a little more support.
)
This is a really nice trailer, It will carry two of the
big 4 wheelers really nice.
<>
Extra welded pcs.
The trailer below is the trailer that was just built
within these pages that you have just viewed.

Trailer has a 3500 lb. Axle.

Axle dose have brake mounts welded on it, And has
wiring ran threw the Axle so that brakes could be
put on real easily if the need ever arises.

It also has 205/75-15 Tires and rims.

Trailer is 5'5" Wide & 14'4" Long.

Trailer is made out of 3" Heavy channel & 3" Tubing
This trailer has a heavy duty frame.

This trailer is not a Lowes special.

Many trailers on the market are built out angle iron!
There we're no expenses left out to save a buck on
this build.

Trailer is also equipped with side running lights,
And rear triple light bar.

All of the wiring has been ran in metal tubing & any
exposed wire has been covered with Flex tubing.

Tail lights are not exposed below the frame which
will give the lights less of a chance of getting
broken.

Trailer has a 2" Ball A-Frame coupler.

It also has a A-Frame mount jack.

Trailer has a diamond plated tailgate/ramp and front
tongue.

Also has spare tire rack with spare tire, With
security lock.

Trailer has a 2" X 6" lumber bed.

I will be posting the price on one of these trailers or
possibly both trailers later today or first thing in the
morning. Todays date is 4-6-08. 7:30 pm Vegas time.

I Thank you for checking out my website, And I will
also be posting pictures & info. On my Teardrop
Trailer build as it progresses, It should really take
off hopefully next week if everything go's as
planned. Thanks again.
