FLATBED TRAILER BUILD
           PAGE 3

Here you can see that the
excess length on the A-Frame
has been cut off.
And I have started to paint
the frame.

Here is a different view
of the trailer frame.
I also finished priming
the this side of the trailer.

Here we decided not to
use the spring assembly that
I showed on previous page
we will use the 4 leaf springs,
But we will not use the mounting
shackles I will show you why in a
future picture.

After welding the spring
shackles on, Some tubing
was welded on.
This tubing will be used
to run all of the electrical
wires in.
There is also a tubing
across the back of
the trailer.

Here the springs have
been mounted and I
also did some more
painting.

Here the axle has
been mounted.

Here is another picture
showing the axle mounted
to the spring.
This picture shows
why I decided not to
use this spring set up
I did not like the gap
that you can see.
If I would have made
this trailer out of tubing
there would not of been
any gap, So this is why that
I used different spring
shackles.

Here some of the electrical
wire has been ran threw
the small pipes that
we're welded on earlier
in this build.

I cut up all of the angle iron
for the side rails and vise
gripped them, Then the vertical
pieces we're welded on.

After the vertical pieces
we're welded on they
we're painted.
Here is another view of trailer
after the vertical pieces we're
welded on.
This picture shows a piece of steel
that was welded on the rear of the
trailer, This will be used to mount
the taillights.
We could of just drilled some holes in
the piece of channel iron but by
welding the piece on top of the
channel this will keep the taillight a
little higher off of the ground which
should protect the light if the rear of
the trailer happens to drag on the
ground.

Here the top pieces have been
welded on the side rails
and they we're also painted.
Also painted the fenders.
Another view showing the side rails
and the fenders after they have been
painted.

Here I put another gloss
black coat of paint on.
