VegasTeardrop Trailer Construction. Page 1
Birth of the VegasTeardrop Trailer
Welcome to my VegasTeardrop construction page.
Well I better introduce myself, my name is Ken and I live in Las Vegas
and I have lived here since about 1991 and before Las Vegas I lived in
and grew up in the Salt Lake City Utah area, And attended Woods Cross Hi
in Woods Cross Utah and also attended Dixie Collage in Saint George Utah.
While residing in Utah my Father had a Trailer manufacturing business in
which we made Utility Trailers,Cargo and Snowmobile Trailers and custom
Car and Machinery Trailers and Motorcycle Trailers and supplied a few
Motorcycle and snowmobile shops.(Fincher Industries)
And we also had a tool and machinery wholesale and retail store.(F&I Tools)

I have also built and rebuilt a few desert and sand rails.
I may throw a pic or two in.

And I have been in and around the building and construction field
for some twenty five or so years not counting when I was a child.
I have the knowledge and experience to build or figure out about anything.

Well enough of that, Lets get back to my VegasTeardrop.

Within the following pages I will
try to show and explain the best way I
can, the process I went Threw before and during the building of my
VegasTeardrop.
I will do this with pictures and some written text.

Well sit back and relax because here we go.

I had thought about building a Teardrop type trailer for  some time,
so I would say it was about November or December of 2006,
I started to get serious about building my first Teardrop.
(remember I had built trailers in the past)

So I started surfing the web looking for a shape that I might like
and for different idea's.
So what I did was I picked up a folder to put any information that I thought
might be useful.

MY TEARDROP IDEA BOOK

1. I put any pictures of body styles that caught my fancy.
( I downloaded 100's of pic's)

2. My drawings.

3. List of parts suppliers.

4. List of favorite web pages of Teardrop styles I preferred.

5. List Teardrop Forums so if I ran into any questions,

6. List of items purchased and from whom.

7. List of some different ideas that other people had that I thought
might possibly be a possibility, So I would not have to track the info. Again.

8. A Teardrop Trailer work in progress picture section.

9. Also kept CD's that I kept in the pockets of my folder with construction pics.

10. I did have a section for receipts.
But it filled up to quick, so I used a shoe box until I was done
with the initial building, then I put them in a file folder in my fileing  cabinet.

( Boy they added up real quick anyone whom has built a Teardrop knows what I mean)

Ok lets get trailering along.

STARTING BUILD
In doing my research a lot of people would use a utility trailer that you could
buy that comes with everything that you would need to get started such as
tires, axle, springs(not all have springs so beware unless you don't want them),
and all the metal frame trusses and bolts to put trailer together, also come
with fenders, tail lights, and hitch.

Here is a few dealers.
